This little girl catches my attention everyday. When I'm about to prepare myself going to work, I used to watch TV first (hehe, kaya minsan late ako ng ilang minuto). Perrine provides a lot of inspiration. I always admire her of being brave. Oh yeah, she's a kind of girl who can live alone, finds her own food, creates her own dress and shoes.. oh such a courageous girl. Sometimes I used to compare myself to her, I can relate on some of her experiences.
Since I cannot watch it fully, I tried to search it on the net and try to patch everything I wanna know about her. She's an inspiration for me. She lost both of her parents, I lost my father and I keep on loving my mother coz she's a treasure I should love. I'm lucky, I have my mother and family. For Perrine, she lives as if no one's missing.
The story happened in France in 19th Century created by Nippon Animation at Fuji Japan. All casts were Japanese, Hiromi Tsuru played (voice) the role of Perrine. Ikeda Masako as Marie Doressanv and Iwao Kinshirou as Vilfran Paindavone.
Let me share you this short story, here we go and let me quote these:
"Perrine travels across Europe with her mother, a photographer, in a cabin lead by a donkey. They are heading to a small village in north France, the home of Perrine's dead father. Perrine doesn't know that they are unwanted in the village, since the father left the village after having quarrelled with his father, and married in India against his father's will. After her mother falls ill, Perrine has to sell everything, including her beloved donkey Palikare, to pay for medicine. Mother dies in Paris, and before dying tells the girl that she has to make her grandfather love her before he knows who she really is. After a journey full of hardships, Perrine finally arrives in the village, where she learns that her grandfather is the rich owner of the factory that feeds all the villagers. Presenting herself by a false name, Perrine gets a job on the factory, searching for a way to the heart of her grandfather."
Furthermore:
In Q~TV 11 , her falsename is Olarie or Olerie...While working in the factory, she lives in the "kakahuyan" with her little dog named "Baron" (it also reminds me of my lost puppy). She met Rosalie and Paul (siblings) and they became friends. Paul used to visit her in the "kakahuyan" everyday. Perrine with Baron catches fish and fruits for them to eat. Perrine is being admired of becoming a happy and strong girl by the people around her.
Im still looking for a complete episodes of this story or maybe "The Perrine Story -- the movie." hehe why not? I hope someday,,, I can have this.
